Reliable Reverse Acting Pressure Relief for High Purity Sanitary Systems
The RLPS Series is an extension of ZOOK’s proven reverse acting metal rupture disk design, purpose-built for sanitary piping systems in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences industries. Its scoreless construction delivers higher cycle life than conventional scored designs, with a non-fragmenting design solid metal construction.
Only the smooth convex side of the disk is exposed to the process medium, helping reduce product buildup and supporting hygienic system design. The RLPS installs using industry standard Tri-Clamp and Tri-Clover fittings, with NA-Connect mounting also available, making it easy to integrate into existing pharmaceutical piping systems. With operating ratios up to 95% of the low end of burst tolerance and 0% manufacturing range as standard, the RLPS provides reliable, repeatable performance for validated pharmaceutical processes.

features & benefits
Non-Fragmenting Scoreless Design
The RLPS utilizes a scoreless reverse acting non fragmenting design.
Clean-in-Place Compatible
The RLPS is designed to support clean-in-place (CIP) processes common in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Only the smooth convex surface of the disk is exposed to the process medium, which helps minimize product buildup and supports hygienic system design.
The disk dome should not be subjected to direct contact or high-pressure jet spray during cleaning operations.
High-Purity Corrosion Resistant Construction
Constructed from 316 stainless steel with FDA-certified gasket materials (Viton, EPDM, Buna, and PTFE), the RLPS is engineered for the high-purity and corrosion resistant service demanded by pharmaceutical applications.
Precision Performance
With 0% manufacturing range as standard and operating ratios up to 95% of the low end of burst tolerance, the RLPS delivers consistent, predictable performance. This helps engineers maintain stable operating conditions and reduces variability in critical pharmaceutical processes.
