Ultra Low-Pressure Relief for Sanitary Connection Applications
The ProVAC-S and ProPOS-S are sanitary fitting versions of ZOOK’s Z-VAC and Z-POS ultra low-pressure rupture disk series, designed to provide bi-directional pressure relief for pharmaceutical processing and storage vessels connected via sanitary ferrule piping. These devices protect sensitive pharmaceutical equipment from both vacuum implosion and overpressure failure in a single assembly – with ultra low-pressure relief starting at just 1 inch (25 mm) of water column.
Designed for high-purity environments, the ProVAC-S and ProPOS-S holders mount directly to industry standard Tri-Clamp and Tri-Clover sanitary fittings. The holders are manufactured from stainless steel. The disks feature a laser-cut collapsible girdle that controls the ultra low-pressure relief point with high accuracy. Optional integral burst indication provides immediate notification when the disk has relieved pressure. Available in 2″, 3″, and 4″ sanitary sizes with companion clamp sizing one size larger than the nominal disk size.

Ultra Low-Pressure Accuracy
Relief pressures starting at just 1 inch of water column make the ProVAC-S and ProPOS-S ideal for protecting low-strength pharmaceutical vessels, fermentation tanks, and storage containers where even small pressure differentials can cause structural damage.
Bi-Directional Protection in a Single Device
Both the ProVAC-S and ProPOS-S provide bi-directional protection – ultra low-pressure relief in one direction and higher pressure relief (up to 150 psig) in the other – eliminating the need for separate vacuum and overpressure devices in many applications.
Sanitary Tri-Clamp Connection
Purpose-built sanitary holders connect directly to standard Tri-Clamp and Tri-Clover fittings, making these devices suitable for pharmaceutical piping systems requiring hygienic connections.
